About show
GLEN OAKS is a poetic, meditative exploration of love, life, and the complexities of relationships. The play follows a married couple as they face the bittersweet reality of growing apart while deciding if they should stay together. Their daughter, meanwhile, navigates her own journey of love as she falls for Charli, the granddaughter of the town historian, whose connections to the town’s past intertwines with the present. As each character grapples with letting go of old ties and embracing new ones, Glen Oaks itself -- rich with history, secrets, and beauty -- becomes a silent witness to their emotional transformations. Through expressionistic and dreamlike moments, the play delves into themes of memory, belonging, brutality, and the ever-shifting nature of love.

"Fountain Hills Theater's production of The Secret Garden is a deeply emotional experience, made all the more effective by the intimacy of the performance space and the glorious singing voices of the cast. The closeness between performers and audience allows every emotion-filled lyric and soaring musical phrase to land with a heightened impact. The excellent cast draws you into the story's world of loss, healing, and quiet transformation, delivering a heartfelt presentation of this moving musical....The entire Fountain Hills cast bring warmth and nuance to their characters. Charlotte "Cha Cha" Giffen beautifully portrays Mary with a compelling transformation from grumpy defiant girl to someone who has genuine compassion for those around her. Her line delivery is assured and her singing bright in this captivating depiction of the beloved character. Chad Millar delivers a rich portrayal of the haunted and restrained Archibald Craven, yet there is also a charm that peeks out from underneath his harsh exterior that lets us see the loving man he once was. As the ghost of Archibald's wife Lily, Lacey Dixon is luminous and expressive with a warm singing voice." - Gil Benbrook, TalkinBroadway.com (click here to read the complete review)

"Noël Coward's Blithe Spirit is a classic stage comedy, and the production at Don Bluth Front Row Theatre shows how the play can still charm a modern audience 85 years after it first premiered. Under confident direction and with a fairly strong cast, this drawing-room farce lands its laughs with consistency and style. The cast and production embrace Coward's wit and theatricality which allows the humor, characters, and supernatural experiences to shine....The cast handles Coward's language and rhythmic line delivery with confidence. Mitchell Glass perfectly captures Charles Condomine's smug charm, confusion, and mounting frustration. As Ruth, Charles's second wife, Katie Allen is fantastic, with her composure slowly unraveling as events spiral out of control. Meg Farnsworth Faraoni is a spirited delight as the playful and mischievous Elvira, with a performance that balances flirtation and spite." - Gil Benbrook, TalkinBroadway.com (click here to read the complete review)
