Rebel Phoenix Theatre Collective Launches Inaugural Season: Into The Fire

A new flame is igniting in the Valley. Rebel Phoenix Theatre Collective is proud to announce its inaugural 2025–2026 season, Into the Fire—a four-show lineup that dives headfirst into identity, transformation, and the burning truths we carry.

This first season delivers a lineup of bold, theatrical storytelling from underrepresented voices—queer, Black, and revolutionary narratives that refuse to whisper.

“Into the Fire is about what happens when we stop playing it safe—when we confront the past, break the rules, and step into who we really are. This season isn’t about comfort. It’s about heat, heart, and holding nothing back.”
— Nat Barnhouse, Artistic Director

Mama is up early to prepare an important meal and, even with her family on hand to help, time is running short. PERFECT ARRANGEMENT
By: Topher Payne
Run Dates: March 20–22 & 27–29, 2026

It’s 1950, and new colors are being added to the Red Scare. Two U.S. State Department employees, Bob and Norma, have been tasked with identifying sexual deviants within their ranks. There’s just one problem: Both Bob and Norma are gay, and have married each other’s partners as a carefully constructed cover. Inspired by the true story of the earliest stirrings of the American gay rights movement, madcap classic sitcom-style laughs give way to provocative drama as two “All-American” couples are forced to stare down the closet door.

THE CHRISTIANS
By: Lucas Hnath
Run Dates: May 8–10 & 15–17, 2026

Twenty years ago, Pastor Paul’s church was nothing more than a modest storefront. Now he presides over a congregation of thousands, with classrooms for Sunday School, a coffee shop in the lobby, and a baptismal font as big as a swimming pool. Today should be a day of celebration. But Paul is about to preach a sermon that will shake the foundations of his church’s belief. A big-little play about faith in America—and the trouble with changing your mind.

THE CHRISTIANS is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com)
