Amber Ryan named Stage Left Productions Youth Artistic Director

Amber Ryan named Stage Left Productions Youth Artistic Director

Amber became the Youth Education Director in 2018. Her main responsibilities have been directing youth shows. In 2019 she started the SLP homeschool program that started with a handful of kids and now has almost close to 100 participants. She has an excellent vision when it comes to directing the youth, whether it be in fairy tales or dramas. Recently her production of "The Revolutionists" won an overall youth production at the 2022 ariZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence. Amber has continued to educate youth and teens in a variety of plays, including just recently producing a very beautiful and simple production  of "26 Pebbles", proving that you do not need an extravagant set to tell a story. Stage left is excited to see what Amber has in store for the future. Congratulations Amber Ryan!

Rachel Cummings named Stage Left Productions Youth Education Director

Rachel Cummings has always had a passion for the fine arts. Her love originated onstage after being in a production of Annie. That love never ceased and she has appeared in many productions over the years. Rachel earned her B.A. in Theatre from Grand Canyon University and then continued to Liberty University where she received her M.A. in Strategic Communication. Rachel began directing at Stage Left Productions in 2018 when she co-directed James and the Giant Peach with SLP Artistic Director Cody Dull. And thus, her love for youth theatre was born! Rachel’s continued work with Stage Left includes Charlotte’s Web and Alice in Wonderland, which earned several AriZoni nominations – including Best Director. Last year Rachel tackled her biggest challenge yet, when she both directed and starred in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Nothing brings Rachel greater joy than seeing kids have fun while gaining self-confidence and nurturing a love for theatre! Congratulations Rachel Cummings!
