Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

What is YETi? Maybe you heard about it a handful of years ago and then nothing else since then? Or maybe you think it's a class or a smaller acting troupe?

YETi (youth ensemble theatre inc) is a youth theatre that is hosted by Chilsplay, which is a professional TYA (theatre for young audiences) theatre that hires professional actors full time to perform theatre aimed at young people. Childsplay also has classes they offer to youth, but they do not hire teen or children to perform in shows. That's where YETi comes in! We exist to give young people a chance to be leaders in the theatre space and receive mentoring from theatre professionals. Not only do students get to perform in shows, but they get to design and be a part of the production team, AND decide WHAT the theatre company does. They learn to fundraise, do administrative duties, search for and select plays for their season, create new events to engage the community and so much more!

In 2019, YETi went on a hiatus and in Spring of 2022 they were finally ready to return full force! YETi produces 2 shows each year from the ground up, as well as producing other exciting events, all run and selected by the teens in charge
