STRAY CAT ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR GHOSTS OF BOGOTÁ  GHOSTS OF BOGOTÁ

ROLES AVAILABLE:

All genders and abilities are encouraged to audition. We want to showcase the spectrum and diversity of Latinidad with the cast.  

Lola - Eldest sibling. Dramatic, overbearing. Successful TV showrunner. Not into sympathy. Late 30's. F. Latine.

Sandy  - Middle sibling. No nonsense, practical, brutally honest, but has a very squishy center. 30's. F. Latine.

Bruno - The baby. Hip. American born. Likes his pleasures. 20's. M. Latine.

Nena - Their grandmother's ghost. Funny. Bubbly. Any age. F. Bilingual actors a major plus for this role. Latine.

Teresa - The young woman who cared for their dead grandfather. Smart. Manipulative. Speaks Spanish. Late teens. F. Bilingual actor needed. Latine.

Jesus - A creepy Jesus head in a jar. Can be Black and/or Latine. Any age. Any gender. No we’re not kidding.

Saúl - The ghost of the dead man. Any Age. M. Bilingual actors a major plus for this role. Latine.

PAY: There is a $400 stipend for all actors cast. There will also be stipended understudy opportunities as well.

A beautiful and heartbreaking dark comedy centering around three siblings, late 20s to late 30s, who return to their parents’ birth country when their grandfather dies. A universal story about family secrets, told through a very specific Latine lens, and a story about that unique immigrant experience of never feeling fully at home in any country that can claim you.
