A Youth Production (ages 8-19)
STARLIGHT COMMUNITY THEATER continues our 2020-21 Season with STAR STARS: THE FRANCHISE AWAKENS written by Dean O'Carroll. While we intend for an 8 performance run in our theater, the location and or performance dates could change depending on the course of the pandemic. The initial few weeks of rehearsal will be done on-line. We will move to rehearsals in the theater as conditions permit.

Long, long ago, in a theater near you, there was a saga that thrilled generations of moviegoers - but then the dark time came, and the prequels depressed the galaxy. Now a brave band of heroes on a quest to make new Star Stars movies must battle the sinister First Chapter, and the only ones who can help are the heroes of the original trilogy. Can an enthusiastic fangirl, a reformed Scooper Trooper, and a highly marketable robot awaken the power of the Franchise? A loving, loopy parody of fandom and a certain space adventure.
There are roles for 13-20 youth (about equal male/female) aged 8-19. Ability to portray numerous characters is important...so practice using different voices and characterizations. There is a $150 non-refundable Production Fee for all youth actors cast in this production.
