Founded in 2006, Actor’s Youth Theatre’s mission is to Educate, inspire and grow youth to reach their fullest potential on stage and in life. The company is driven to provide excellence in our youth programs and productions. In our most recent full season, AYT served 5,000 audience members, employed 21 staff members, provided 150 young performers with a theatre to call home, and had an annual operating budget of $395,000.
AYT has a history of programming theatrical experiences for children ages 3-18. We produce theatrical events from musicals to plays - from classics to contemporary favorites. We train young actors, singers and dancers. Our theatre is also committed to removing barriers to participation through accessibility programs. AYT engages with the greater community through programs like student internships, and providing complimentary tickets to Hopekids and Vettix.
As AYT approaches our 18th year, we are seeking to renew our commitment to foster new artistic ideas and continue to grow our young artists. We are seeking to hire new leadership. The Artistic Director will lead a collaborative ensemble and report directly to the board of directors and will be jointly responsible, with the Executive Director, for developing and implementing strategies that ensure our theatre achieves its artistic and financial goals within an operating plan and budget formally approved by the board.
