An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. A riotous ride complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius.
The OFF-BROADWAY at THE ENCORE series showcases amazing musical theatre works (both edgy and traditional) featuring smaller casts and intimate sets perfect for the more “chameleon” style of the ENCORE ROOM space at ABT. Attendees can enjoy food and bar service available for purchase before the show and at intermission.
