West Valley Chorale sponsors Third Annual Young Singer Competition

2018 / 2019 Scholarship Winner Josh Pike and Ken Goodenberger

High school junior and senior singers who reside  in the Phoenix metro area are eligible to compete in the third annual West Valley Chorale Young Singer Competition. This competition demonstrates the Chorale's commitment to encouraging talented young singers; it is supported by audience donations in a wonderful example of inter-generational outreach. This year the Chorale will award $2000 in prizes to 4 winners.

Applicants must record a video that showcases their talent, to be submitted by October 25,2019 to the following email address: StudentCompetition@WestValleyChoraleAZ.org.

Please note that music selections must be from the classical, art song or Broadway repertoires. Students must submit a publicity head shot in JPG format with their video.

After the videos are juried, semifinalists will sing in the finals Saturday November 9. First place winners of the finals will sing a solo with the Chorale in either the December or April concerts (Dec 10 & 12; March 31 & April 2).
