"As a testament to the popularity of the very funny comedy The Man with the Pointed Toes, the current production at Hale Centre Theatre in Gilbert is the sixth time they've presented the play in the last 16 years. With spotless direction and a sublime cast who create endearing, lovable characters and don't miss a beat in insuring every joke gets big laughs, it's easy to see why Hale keeps bringing this crowd-pleasing comedy back...While the play is fairly predictable, it's also a tightly constructed piece that plays out like a reverse gender My Fair Lady with a sweet tone and characters that are highly likable. There are also plenty of very funny jokes that got loud, sustained laughs from the audience at the performance I attended....may be predictable, but it's also a sweet, charming, funny, and very amusing show that will put a smile on your face and make you laugh—a lot. ..
