B3 Productions announces open auditions for its Festival of
Shorts, performing in May.

Beatrix in the Shadows by D. Lee Miller, directed by Juliet
Rachel Wilkins.
Fish From Heaven by Rosemary Frisino Toohey, directed by
Bertha Cortes. Rehearsals are TBA,
falling between April 9-May 6.
Raghead by Tom Coash, directed by Jessica Holt. This will rehearse Wednesday evenings, April
11-May 2.
The Brotherhood by Renee’ Flemings, directed by RC Contreras. This will rehearse Tuesday evenings, April
10-May 1.
The Connection by Robin Doupe, directed by Jessica Holt. This will rehearse Wednesday evenings.
The Trouble with Cashews by David MacGregor, directed by
Bertha Cortes, Rehearsals are TBA, falling between April 9-May 6.

Contreras.
What Everyone Wants by John Perovich, directed by Juliet
Rachel Wilkins. This will rehearse
Thursday evenings, April 12-April 26.
For all shows, Tech Week is Monday May 7-Thurs May 10, from
6 to 10 PM. Performances are Fridays and
Saturdays, May 11, 12, 18, and 19 at 8 PM.
Some roles have been precast. Open roles, and their show descriptions, are
listed below.
Fish from Haven:
A drama set in Honduras where a couple waits for the rain to bring them fish to
eat. Husband and wife have different views about if this miracle will happen
again.
Lucia (Wife) f. Ideally Latina 20s to 40s.
Esteban ( poor farmer) m. Ideally Latino 20s to 40s.
Raghead: A drama
about the prejudices and problems that abound in our modern world where there
are no easy answers.
Sarah: 25-35 modern Italian-American woman, method actor,
strong, smart.
Nick: 25-35 Italian-American man, firefighter.
The Brotherhood: Two brothers cope with the death of their
younger brother the morning of his funeral.
Eric: black male 35-40.
Stefan: black male 35-45.
The Connection: A
dramedy about life, the afterlife and the people we lose.
Ava: Young woman teens to late 20's, hopeful yet a skeptic,
needs to be able to play hopeful and distraught.
Brittany: Ava's best friend, humorous, heartfelt and strong.
Skye: an eccentric medium, any age.
Marta: Ava's feeble yet spunk aunt, preferred over 50.
George: Ava's aging father, flamboyant entertainer.
Auditions will be on Saturday, April 7th, from 1
to 4 PM and will be held at B3, The SIC Sense Theatre, 1902-9 E McDowell Rd,
Phoenix, AZ 85006.
Auditioners will be expected to do movement, voice improv,
energy and focus games, and be interviewed briefly. Additional activities include cold readings
from the scripts. Please be prepared
to stay the full 3 hours.
We are also looking for design help. Please contact the Producer if you are
interested in Costume/Makeup/Mask Design, Prop Design, or Sound Design. Board op and backstage positions are also
available.
