Childsplay's General Auditions for their 2018 / 2019 Season - March 26



Childsplay will be holding general season auditions for the 2018/2019 season on Monday March 26th from 4pm – 7pm at the Campus for Imagination and Wonder, 900 S Mitchell Drive in Tempe.

Auditions are for non-Equity adult actors only.

Actors should prepare 1 monologue and, optionally, 16 bars of an up-tempo song. 

The monologue and song should not exceed 2 minutes in total combined length.

There will be an accompanist available to play your music. An AUX connection will be available for recorded accompaniment.

Note that neither the song nor monologue have to be “appropriate” for theatre for young audiences.

PLEASE NOTE: Childsplay serves families and schools. Rehearsals and performances are held during daytime hours. School tours will include overnight trips outside of the metro Phoenix area.

• TOMAS AND THE LIBRARY LADY (National Tour) September 3rd – December 16th, 2018
• ELLA ENCHANTED November 12th – December 30th, 2018
• AND IN THIS CORNER: CASSIUS CLAY (a co-production with Black Theatre Troupe) December 31st, 2018 – March 3rd, 2019
• MADDI’S FRIDGE (School Tour) December 31, 2019 – May 26th, 2019
• ERIC AND ELLIOT (School Tour) January 7th, 2019 – May 10th, 2019
• THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR SHOW February 18th – April 21st, 2019
• SELENA SINGS (World Premiere) April 1st – May 27th, 2019
• CHATO’S KITCHEN (World Premiere) May 6th – June 16th, 2019

Beginning in the fall of 2018, all of Childsplay's in-house productions will perform at the Herberger Theatre Center with the exception of AND IN THIS CORNER, which will perform at The Helen K. Mason Performing Arts Center, home of Black Theatre Troupe.
