SYNOPSIS’
Big Fish
Edward Bloom is traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest... and then some! Edward’s incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him – most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their aggravated son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales. Overflowing with heart, humor and spectacular stagecraft, Big Fish is a
heartwarming musical extravaganza based on the acclaimed 2003 movie directed by Tim Burton.

Sister Act
When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one
place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds
with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing
talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so,
blows her cover. Powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing and a truly moving story, Sister Act will
leave audiences breathless. Featuring original music by Tony- and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan
Menken, this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Sister Act Character Breakdown

When forced to hide in the convent, she initially refuses to embrace her new lifestyle but learns to embrace it when she works with the choir. Loud-mouthed, and sassy, but ultimately caring.

MOTHER SUPERIOR: (50-70; D3-E5) The head of the convent, sarcastic and a bit stiff. Extremely
protective about keeping her sisters away from the outside world, which puts her in direct opposition
to Deloris and her musical teachings.

SISTER MARY ROBERT: (16-25; F#3-A5) A postulant, abandoned as a baby and raised at the
convent. Shy and soft-spoken, but singing with Deloris lets her find her voice. Her wallflower lifestyle has made her live a shell of a life.

easily excitable and is one of the more boisterous nuns.

SISTER MARY LAZARUS: (50-70; F3-B4) A nun of the convent and the head of the choir. Rather
deadpan and the least welcoming of any of the nuns, but she gets caught up in Deloris's soul music.

controlling, always on the verge of violence.

in a state of ignorant bliss.

JOEY: (30-40; Bb2-Eb5) One of Curtis's thugs. Believes himself to be quite the ladies' man.

PABLO: (25-40; C4-F5) One of Curtis's thugs. A natural follower, constantly speaks in Spanish.

SISTER MARY MARTIN-of-TOURS: (40-60) A nun of the convent. Clearly in her own world, but has her moments of surprising clarity.

SISTER MARY THERESA: (60-70) A nun of the convent, the oldest of the group. Decrepit at a
glance, but secretly packs a punch.

MICHELLE: (20-30; Bb3-F5) One of Deloris's back-up singers. Lippy and always quick with a retort.

TINA: (20-30; Ab3-F5) One of Deloris's back-up singers. A little thick and naive.

ERNIE: (25-35; Bb3-F5) One of Curtis's thugs. Initially thought to be a mindless yes-man, he turns out to be an undercover police informant.

ENSEMBLE MALE/FEMALE: (18-30) Must sing and dance. Nuns; Bar Denizens (Bar Patron,
Waitress, Pool Player, Drag Queen); Homeless People; Fantasy Dancers
