Cheech Marin will host and Paul Rodriguez will be featured along with the rising stars Erik Rivera, Marcella Arguello and Nick Guerra. Marin and Rodriguez have been making audiences laugh all over the world for more than two decades. The two have ties together, going back to the 1980’s when Rodriguez starred opposite Marin in Marin’s 1987 movie Born In East LA. They teamed up again for the 2002 comedy concert film "The Original Latin Kings of Comedy," which Rodriguez executive produced. Currently, the two comedians, along with skateboarder/actor Paul Rodriguez, Jr. announced the development of a single-camera comedy for NBC.
Paul Rodriguez’s multi-faceted career includes starring roles and featured appearances in over 45 films and countless television series and comedy specials. He is a life-long community activist and an accomplished writer, director/producer for television, motion pictures and feature shows. Cheech Marin is best known as one half of the hilariously irreverent duo Cheech and Chong, Cheech is a paradox in the world of entertainment. He is an actor, director, writer, musician, humanitarian and art collector. Since the mid-1980s, he has amassed a renowned private collection of Chicano art, the largest in North America. He has appeared in over 20 films and has been a sitcom regular, as well as having recurring and guest roles on television.
Since bursting onto the NYC comedy scene, Erik Rivera has become a favorite act at comedy clubs, events and colleges throughout the country. A regular at NYC and LA comedy clubs such as The Comedy Cellar, Comic Strip Live, Gotham Comedy Club, and The Laugh Factory, Erik’s star is quickly rising! Rivera is steadily becoming a familiar face on cable networks nationwide as he’s also appeared numerous times on AXS TV, MTV, Comedy Central, TV Guide and NuVO TV. Marcella Arguello has recently become a fan favorite on Comedy Central’s @midnight and will be featured on an upcoming episode of The UCB Show on Seeso, as well as Tru TV’s Comedy Knockout. Arguello was featured on Viceland’s Flophouse, and in 2015 on NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly. She has worked at The Improv Comedy Clubs all over the country and is a regular at The Punch Line Comedy Clubs in Northern California. She has performed at San Francisco Sketchfest, Riot LA Comedy Festival, and overseas for American troops . Nick Guerra is one of the most exciting comedians quickly making an impact in the clubs and on TV. Guerra is an audience favorite from NBC’s Last Comic Standing, made his TV debut on Comedy Central with Gabriel Iglesias’ Stand Up Revolution and recently made his late night debut on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. With his cool and energetic attitude, he skewers relationships, family, and everyday life.
