AUDITION INFO
Format: Auditions will be in a group format performing cold reads from the script. Sides will be provided at the theatre. You do not need to prepare a monologue. Review the character description below; you may indicate roles you wish to read for when you sign up. All roles are available.

Tuesday, July 6 - 7:30 pm
Callbacks: Callbacks will be held on Tuesday, July 6 at 8 pm if needed. You will be notfied if we need to see you again.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring a current headshot and resume. Bring a list of all conflicts for rehearsal; there will be no understudies, if you on not available for all performances we cannot consider you for casting in this production.

Before there was Bewitched, before Wicked and Harry Potter, there was BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE. Gillian is a beautiful witch living in 1950s New York City who is smitten with her handsome upstairs neighbor Shep Henderson. She casts a little spell, and Shep is immediately and completely captivated by her. But Gillian must be careful -- if she falls in love with him, she could lose her magical powers forever. Will she be undone by her own mischief? A frothy and spellbinding romantic comedy, BELL, BOOK, AND CANDLE shows that love might be the most bewitching spell of all.
Tentative Rehearsal Schedule:
Rehearsals begin on August 23.
Aug 23 - Sep 19: Mon, Tues and Wed evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm; Saturdays from 9 am to noon.
Sep 20 - 29 Tech Week: Mon-Fri evenings from 6-10 pm; Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm; Sundays if needed.
Performance Run:

Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 pm
Saturday matinees at 2 pm
CHARACTER LIST
The setting is the late 40's, early 50's in New York City
Gillian Holroyd
Female. 20's - 40's
A modern day witch living in New York. She yearns for a "normal" relationship, even at the risk of losing her magical powers. She is the most powerful witch in the "coven".
Shepherd Henderson
Male: 20's - 40's
A modern bachelor, living in New York. Becomes spellbound by Gillian.
Miss Holroyd
Female: 40's - 70's
Gillian and Nicky's "Auntie". She too is a witch. A bit batty, and prone to little "revenge" magics. Respects and fears Gillian's power.
Nicky Holroyd
Male: 20's - 40's
Gillian's younger brother. A warlock who also happens to be a cool and hip kinda guy. He loves practical jokes and revels in his power. Respects and fears Gillian's power.
Sidney Redlitch
Male: 30's - 70's
A writer who is an "authority" on witchcraft in the modern world.
All roles pay a stipend.
