Disney's Descendants Auditions: Friday, June 4th 4pm-8pm

This production will be performed WITHOUT masks. We will require masks during all rehearsals and whenever possible backstage.
We will be holding auditions for Disney’s Descendants on Friday, June 4th from 4pm-8pm at the Tuscany Theatre (861 N. Higley Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85234).
What to Prepare: For the initial audition please prepare 32 bars (measures) in the style of the show. You may be asked to "warm-read" a short scene from the show.
An accompanist will NOT be provided. Please bring a device to play an instrumental track to sing along with. You may sing acapella.
Can't make it to the audition? No problem! You may send a video audition with the above requirements to Lucygarner4@gmail.com by Saturday, June 5th at 12pm.
Callbacks TBD as necessary.
Rehearsals will take place Monday-Saturday 9am-3pm June 14th-26th. Rehearsals will take place at Tuscany (861 N. Higley)
Performances: July 1st-3rd, This production will be performed at The Tuscany Theatre (861 N. Higley Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85234)
Parent Expectation: We do require all cast members to pay a production fee of $250 due at the time of the first scheduled rehearsal. This fee goes to pay for show rights, costumes, sets, props, and the creative-team salaries.
All roles are open to actors ages 8-15.
Character Breakdown
Mal
Our hero and Maleficent’s daughter. Under her hardened, sarcastic exterior, she has a sense of justice and a heart of gold.

The Evil Queen Grimhilde’s daughter. She hides her brilliance behind a superficial, image-obsessed attitude.

Jafar’s son—an outwardly arrogant thief. He conceals a strategic, collaborative nature.

Cruella de Vil’s son. Despite a fear of dogs and just about everything else, he has the capacity to be brave and kind.

The infamous evil fairy. She is a profoundly selfish absentee parent with an unquenchable taste for vengeance.

Snow White’s wicked adversary. An aging beauty queen, she is still desperate to be the fairest of them all.

Aladdin’s nemesis. He is a slimy, washed-up crime lord desperate for a way back to the top.

Fairy Godmother
Headmistress of Auradon Prep. Busy and bubbly, she’ll do anything to keep the school afloat.

Chemistry teacher and Belle’s father. He is kooky and stuck in his ways.

Tourney coach, resigned to the team’s mediocrity until meeting a surprise star player.
Snow White
Red carpet reporter. She is the voice of the masses.
