Local Native American Designer Creates Tony Awards Red Carpet Dress for ASU Gammage's Executive Director

from our friends at ASU Gammage:

Loren Aragon, a Native American fashion designer, has created a one-of-a-kind gown for Arizona’s only Tony voter, Colleen Jennings-Roggensack – executive director at ASU Gammage & ASU VP for Cultural Affairs

It could be one of very few indigenous designs to make it to the red carpet.

Loren Aragon is the Phoenix Fashion Week 2018 Couture Designer of the year.

He’s also an ASU grad who studied mechanical engineering and then reinvented himself and is making a name for himself in a new industry.

Below are some photos of Aragon, the dress in process of being created and the finished product on Jennings-Roggensack, with Aragon on the ASU Gammage stage.
