The Butterfly's Day
Our first Cullity Classic show of the season is coming up! Join us in stage for The Butterfly's Day!
Directed by Kristin Alba & Erin Tarkington
This Gerry Cullity original musical story adaptation of the Emily Dickinson poem imparts an inspiring magical garden tale about a Butterfly given one day to find its purpose and in the process overcomes the evil Gypsy Moth Queen and accomplices Sneaky, Sleazy, Slimy and Sluggy. Fighting the attempt to banish butterflies from nature forever, an endearing bevy of friends – from the spunky Katy-Did and Katy-Didn’t to the comical Bumble and Fumble Bees – come to the aid of our Butterfly. Among lessons learned is the value friendship, and that every promise made truly matters.

August 20, 21, and 23rd
Choose one of 2 sessions:
4:00-5:30pm or 5:30pm-7:00pm
Tuition for 3-class session: $60
Tuition for 1-class session: $30
FRIENDS OF DESERT STAGES AUDITIONS:
August 25th & 26th
9am-1pm
9:00 - noon will be solos each day
12-1 will be groups
Ages: 10 and older for girl solos
8 and older for boy solos
Prepare 1-2 min of a song. Bring CD accompaniment or iPad, iPhone, phone to play it on.
No pianist provided.
GENERAL AUDITIONS:
Monday, August 27th, 2018
5pm (check in begins at 4pm)
Wear dance shoes or sneakers. Auditioners will be taught song and dance. Parents must sign forms for auditioners under 18.
