Our mission at Phoenix Theatre Summer Camp is to create an inclusive environment where children and teens can learn to express themselves, share their thoughts and emotions through art, develop a positive sense of self and have fun!
Counselors and teaching artists are selected based on prior theatre experience and their ability to connect with children, with the ultimate goal of developing each camper’s unique talents.

LITTLE PLAYMAKERS
Ages 4-6
Monday – Friday
Half Day: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. $150 per week
Full Day: 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. $250 per week
Learn to sing, act, and dance with us! Each week, we focus on a new theme as we create an original mini-musical revue. Campers use imaginative play to learn how to work together, create characters, and tell stories all while moving, dancing, singing, and having fun! There is a showcase performance every Friday at 11:30 a.m. for family and friends.
MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOPS
Ages 6-16
Monday – Friday $249 a week

These workshops are perfect for young artists interested in learning the basics of acting, singing, and dancing!
Campers have fun learning collaborative skills while putting together a different musical revue each week based on popular musicals and contemporary hits. They learn music and choreography and combine scene work while rehearsing a show to perform every Friday for family and friends. Each age group tackles more challenging material and works with professional teaching artists to create new and exciting experiences every week!
MASTER CLASSES
AGES 12-18
Camera Ready Workshops: Acting for TV and Film
Monday – Friday
9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. $150 per week
June 4-8 or July 9-13
Professional stage and screen actress, Debby Rosenthal, is back for this popular class featuring on-camera acting for TV, commercials, and movies! Students perform actual TV and movie scripts, are filmed, and then watch their results with constructive direction from Debby. The class focuses on all the skills needed to be successful in the performing arts: improvisation, public speaking, body language, memorization techniques, and more. Students learn how to get a talent agent, develop audition techniques, and better understand the business of TV, film, and stage. They share what they have learned on the last day of class with invited family and friends.
Class size is limited to 20 participants.
Page To Stage
Monday – Friday
9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. $500 for 3 weeks
June 11-29
Participate in a three-week intensive where young artists work with a professional artistic director in developing a condensed version of a published work from conception to production. Students work through the process of script writing while also collaborating on their work with the Tech 101 students. The class focuses on creating an ensemble as well as giving the students a glimpse of what it is to work as a theatre troupe. The program culminates in a performance for family and friends.
Class size is very limited to enhance this experience. Early registration is encouraged.
Tech 101
Monday – Friday
9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. $300 for 2 weeks
June 18 - 29
Back by popular demand! This two week intensive is perfect for any student interested in learning about theatre production. Over the course of the program, students work alongside Page to Stage students, learning how to collaborate on a new work. They receive one on one time with working professionals, while getting to see how a production is created from start to finish. The program culminates in a presentation by the students on their design process, and then the final performance where they will run backstage elements.
Class size is very limited to enhance this experience. Early registration is encouraged.
Musical Theatre Intensive
Monday – Friday
9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. $600 for 3 weeks
July 16 - August 3
Musical Theatre Intensive is designed to develop a strong foundation of musical theatre skills for the serious-minded artist, to provide an opportunity to work on personal strengths and weaknesses, and to find success in auditions and in production performance. This one-of-a-kind program is tailored to the needs of the individual student and features both private and group class training, as well as guidance in acting, singing, and dancing from an award-winning faculty of musical theatre professionals.
Students complete the program with a perfected audition, headshots, and a formal resume. The program culminates in a formal audition with Phoenix Theatre artistic staff and a professional showcase on the Phoenix Theatre Mainstage
