Last Line Theatre Collaborative
Have you ever wanted to create something out of nothing? Do you find yourself wishing you could do every job in the theatre? Do you love diving headfirst into the creative process?
Last Line Theatre Collaborative is a new group working in Mesa whose goal is to create “theatre from the ground up.” We are attempting to create two high-quality, low-budget One-Act plays to be
performed in May of this year. Each member of the group will contribute to the writing, directing,
marketing, production and performance of the shows. Some concepts have already been discussed, but if you have ever had an idea you wanted to put on stage, but didn’t know where to start, this is the opportunity!
We are looking for people who are able to commit to one night a week at first, with more frequent
rehearsals scheduled as performance draws nearer. Compensation will be deferred, with profit being
divided evenly among members after production expenses have been considered. The performances
will open Friday, May 13 and will run through Saturday, May 21.
Auditions will be held at the Mesa Arts Center on 1 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201. They will be located in the Actor’s Studio room, across from the Piper Theatre and upstairs from the ceramics studio.
Auditions are by appointment only between 7:00PM and 10:00 PM on Thursday, March 17. Please
contact lastlinetheatre@gmail.com to request a 10-minute slot.
No audition pieces are necessary, but please submit a headshot and resume. Be prepared for cold reads and an open interview to discuss theatre experience and ideas.
