welcomes
Author David Davalos to OPENING WEEKEND of Wittenberg
It is October 1517 and author David Davalos centers his brilliant theatrical construction on an unlikely convergence of Hamlet, John Faustus, and Martin Luther being present at Wittenberg University at the same time. Hamlet is a tentative undergrad bouncing between the diametrically opposed philosophies of Faustus and Luther. The two older men end up battling for their star pupil’s soul as external circumstances threaten their stability and even their lives.
Wittenberg opens on February 26 at 7:30pm and runs until March 12, 2016 at the Mesa Arts Center. TICKETS at www.mesaartscenter.com
Director Kent Burnham with actors William Wilson, David Dickinson, Marshall Glass and Allison Sell
