CYT Classes now enrolling!

CYT classes now enrolling -

Teaching - Basics of Acting: 
Tiffany Trent is a doctoral candidate in the PhD program for Theatre for Youth at ASU.  She also holds a Master of Divinity degree and an MFA in Directing.  She has taught all levels - from K-5 in Ghana to university level students, as well as worked extensively in pastoral care and in various church settings with creative drama.  And she is teaching for us!  REGISTER HERE! for this fun class that explores acting in a very ACTIVE way!
 Teaching - Singing with Confidence:
David Simmons – Actor,
Director, Teacher, Com-poser, Musician – David brings a wealth of experience to teaching this class!  Previous teaching experience includes Missoula Children’s Theater, Arizona Broadway Theatre (Education Director), and musical theatre guest artist residencies at a variety of schools.   Strengthen your voice, better your breathing, develop your range, and get those nerves in check. REGISTER HERE 
 Teaching - Monologues: 
Barbara McGrath 
was a drama specialist in the Mesa public schools for 17 years and has taught and directed in a wide range of levels and programs.  She holds an MA inTheatre for Youth from ASU and has won numerous Zoni awards herself as an actress. Students ages 13-18 will dive into acting through monologues and get lots of voice/diction work too.  REGISTER HERE!

 Teaching - Musical Theater:
 Margaux Cavitt received her Bachelor of Music degree from ASU in Vocal Performance. She has performed through-out the Valley in choirs, operas, and musical theater. Margaux has shared her talents and love for theater with CYT students for several years through classes, camps, and as a Musical Director.  This popular class explores the balance of skills in acting, singing, and dance needed to perform musical theater! REGISTER HERE!

 OUR GANG/SEUSSICAL for 5-7yr olds!
TEACHER: Brianna Taft has taught through the Mesa Arts Center, Musical Instrument Museum and in various after school programs.  Her energy and passion for kids has also led her to work with Special Olympics and as a youth leader at various churches. 
This wonderful high-energy class introduces our youngest students to the FUNdamentals of theater while building self confidence and stimulating the imagination! This session focuses on the stories of Dr. Seuss to match CYT's Fall production of Seussical. REGISTER!
 HIP HOP: (teacher TBA)
this will be fun for anyone ages 8-18.  If you haven't had hip hop before or much dance experience this is a great place to start! Develop coordination, musicality, and all the latest dance moves without suggestive music or movements.  Only 20 spots for this class, so don't delay in registering, as it will probably fill soon.
