Broadway Back Together showcases the talents of original cast members of the Tony Award-winning smash hit Avenue Q, the laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment. Performers John Tartaglia, Ann Harada, Stephanie D’Abruzzo and Alex Gemignani share stories and favorite songs from Avenue Q and their many other Broadway and TV appearances.
About the Cast
John Tartaglia earned a Tony Award nomination for his Broadway debut in Avenue Q, for which he originated the roles of Princeton and Rod. He has starred in the role of Pinocchio in Shrek The Musical; is executive producer, creator and star of the Emmy-nominated Johnny and the Sprites (now airing worldwide); and has been a puppeteer on Sesame Street.
Ann Harada is currently starring in Brooklynite Off-Broadway, and recently finished a multi-year run as a stepsister in Broadway’s Cinderella. She has also appeared in Les Miserables, 9 to 5 and NBC’s Smash.
Stephanie D'Abruzzo is best known for originating the roles of single schoolteacher Kate Monster and sultry chanteuse Lucy the Slut in Avenue Q. She earned a 2004 Tony nomination for “Best Actress in a Musical,” as well as a Drama Desk nomination, Theatre World Award and Outer Critics Circle Special Ensemble Award.
Alex Gemignani has starred on Broadway and Off-Broadway in Avenue Q,Assassins, Les Miserables, South Pacific in Carnegie Hall with Reba McEntire,Sunday in the Park With George, Passion with Patti Lupone, Sweeney Todd andChicago, among others.
