Technical Theatre Director
Description of Position
The Technical Director of the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center manages the back of the house (Auditorium and Stage) and determines the necessary technical support for events and performances presented at the facility in advance of production dates including lighting, sound, staging, and special needs. This position reports to the Manager, PAC Operations.
Minimum Expectations & Requirements
- Professional work and educational experience equivalent to Bachelor's degree in technical theatre, business, or closely related field and supervisory experience, preferably in a commercial performing arts setting
- Candidate must have a solid background in sound design and be competent to run the sound board for all school music events, rentals, and professional presenting artists as need be.
