Synopsis
Pete is a modern-day sequel to the Peter Pan story. Wendy’s great-great-grandchildren go to Neverland and help Peter fight pirates, pterodactyls, and ninjas. This play is not a musical.
Character Breakdown
Henry: a boy played by an adult actor. Looking for a youthful-looking actor under 5’7″.
2 Warriors in Black: These two ninja-like warriors are non-speaking. These parts require strong stage combat skills and physical strength. Martial arts skills and/or gymnastic abilities are a plus.
We encourage candidates from a diversity of races and ethnicities to audition for all of these roles.
Additional Info
Childsplay is a professional adult theatre company for young audiences and families. We rehearse and perform during the daytime. The play will be performed in the main theater at the Tempe Center for the Arts. We perform for school field trips Tuesday through Friday, and public matinees on Saturdays and Sundays.
What To Prepare
Those auditioning for Henry will read from the script. Those auditioning for the Warriors in Black should dress for movement, as the audition will be the fight choreographer working with the auditionees.
