audition notice YEAR OF THE ROOSTER - Stray Cat Theatre

STRAY CAT THEATRE ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS for
YEAR OF THE ROOSTER by Eric Dufault
WHEN:
Sunday, 10.19.14
12pm – 4pm
Callbacks will likely be Monday evening 10.20.14.
WHERE:
Tempe Performing Arts Center

NEEDED:
1 M 2 F
The roles of Gil Pepper and Dickie Thimble have already been cast.
Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
All actors need to have killer comic timing.
LOU PEPPER: F – mid 60s, Gil’s dementia-addled, McDonald’s honey mustard-addicted mother – she wears a nightgown. All the time.
ODYSSEUS REX: M – mid 20s – he is a rooster. Aggressive, drugged up, frenzied, fearless, powerful, athletic. This role is extremely physical.
PHILIPA LONG: F - late teens, early 20s. She is the foul-mouthed McDonald’s manager and later becomes the genetically engineered McDonald’s Chicken McNugget chicken Gil brings home to try and breed with Odysseus.
PREPARE:
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
Sides will be emailed to you once you have locked your audition appointment.
