Zao Theater, the newest theatre in the East Valley of Phoenix, announces audition dates for its upcoming production of To Kill A Mockingbird. The production is directed by Mickey Bryce.
Auditions will be held on Monday, August 3rd from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Call-backs will be on Tuesday, August 4th, at 6:30 PM.
We are excited to present this stage adaptation of Harper Lee's classic novel. Zao Theater began with the vision of giving back to the community. We believe this production will speak about the evils of racism. It is a gritty depiction of 1935 in the deep south, and the values of truth, colorblindness, love, and loyalty.
The script calls for children, students, and adults, both Caucasian and African American.
