Ronin Theatre Collaborative announces partnership with Main Street Creative Arts Center
2026 is going to be huge for Ronin!
The independent theatre community is at its strongest when we work together! To that end, Ronin Theatre Collaborative & Main Street Creative Arts Center are teaming up to bring Ronin's 2026 Season to Mesa!
All of Ronin's 2026 productions will now have two to three weekend runs at the Main Street Creative Arts Center at 933 E Main St. We are deeply thankful for this partnership. Paige and her team are doing incredible work bringing about their dream of affordable spaces for artists and the community at large!

SHRINES is a play about blurred boundaries, Facebook, and the way we grieve now.

SPACE 55 ANNOUNCES WORLD PREMIERE OF THE BROKEN AGE BY JOHN PEROVICH
Space 55 proudly presents the world premiere of The Broken Age, a dark, cosmic comedy by Phoenix playwright John Perovich, directed by Cody Goulder, as part of the company’s landmark 20th season. Performances run January 9–18 at Metropolitan Arts Institute.
The Broken Age asks a simple question with unsettling consequences: What would you do if the end of the world started talking to you? The play follows Wayne, a seemingly average twenty-something whose life in Phoenix veers into chaos when he senses that “They” are coming. Unsure whether he’s spiraling or tuning into something far bigger, Wayne turns to his girlfriend and best friend for help -- only to find disbelief, doubt, and a crystal-collecting craft store owner who may or may not be making things worse.
Blending humor, heart, and a creeping sense of the uncanny, The Broken Age explores friendship under pressure, love on the edge, and the struggle to find meaning when the world refuses to make sense.
The production features performances by Jacob Anderson, Zachary Athanasakis, Lily Norton, and Amy Searcy.

Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father, King Charlemagne the Great). In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.

The Trail To Oregon! is a comedic, interactive musical parody written by StarKid Productions that follows a dysfunctional pioneer family on a hilarious and absurd journey along the Oregon Trail.
The show features audience participation, including having the audience name the characters. It’s based on the classic 1985 computer game The Oregon Trail and is full of humor and energy.

New Leadership at Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival
Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival (FlagShakes) has announced a leadership transition designed to support the company’s continued growth and long-term sustainability, reflecting the strong community support that has fueled the organization’s success.

Founder Dawn Tucker will step into the newly defined role of Director of Vision & Impact, focusing on long-term strategy, major initiatives, and community partnerships that advance FlagShakes’ mission and future growth.
The organization also welcomes Elizabeth Wallace as Administrative Assistant. A lifelong resident of Flagstaff, Wallace brings an extensive background in administration, along with a deep commitment to the local community and the arts to FlagShakes.
“This moment is a testament to the extraordinary support FlagShakes receives from its community,” said Tucker. “Audiences, donors, artists, and volunteers have made it possible for us to grow thoughtfully and intentionally. This transition strengthens our capacity while staying true to the values that built this company.”
The leadership transition reflects FlagShakes’ continued evolution as a professional, artist-driven theatre company dedicated to accessibility, empathy, and community connection through the performing arts.

Auditions for THE PRINCE OF EGYPT at CYT Phoenix announced for February 13 & 14
Auditions for The Prince of Egypt are February 13th & 14th!
CYT students ages 8-18 who are registered for a minimum of 2 hours of spring class instruction are eligible to audition. The audition sign up form will be sent out with your class confirmation email upon registering for classes. The Prince of Egypt will be performed in the Nesbitt-Elliott Playhouse at the Mesa Arts Center May 1st-10th, and will be limited to a cast size of 60 students. We can’t wait to see you there!
