Applications being accepted for Childsplay's local touring production of MADDI'S FRIDGE



Casting for our local touring production of Maddi’s Fridge

This play will tour schools and libraries throughout metro-Phoenix and across Arizona during the 2024-25 school year.  Because we perform primarily for schools, performances and rehearsals generally happen during daytime hours.

Production Dates
Rehearsal dates:  November 12 to December 1, 2024

The tour is broken up into three segments:
December 2 through December 19, 2024
January 21 through March 7, 2025
April 21 through May 16, 2025

Pay:  $600 per week (including rehearsals)

 
Show/Character Breakdown
 
The play is the story of Sofia and Maddi, two best friends who spend their free time at the rock-climbing wall in the park.  When Maddi confesses that sometimes there isn’t enough food in her house, Sofia wants to help her friend.  But Maddi makes Sofia promise not to tell anyone, including Sofia’s brother, Luis.  

Roles: (ALL ROLES ARE PLAYED BY ADULT ACTORS)

Maddi, a 12-year-old girl
Sofia, a 12-year-old girl, Latina
Luis, an 8-year-old boy, Latino.  Luis also manipulates a dog puppet.
