Desert Foothills Theater, is thrilled to present, “The Grown-Ups” by Simon Henriques and Skylar Fox.

This dark comedy play is led by a strong ensemble of the valley’s best young adult actors who promise to deliver a modern play in a modern way. This show is part of a new “immersive” trend for theater-goers who are looking for a more engaging and up-close-and-personal show experience. Imagine yourself under the stars in the fall, warm drink in hand, toasting s’mores while you wait for this compelling new play to begin! We invite you to join these camp counselors for an adult evening of spooky storytelling. Audience members who attend The Grown Ups will gather around a campfire outside at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion.

Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early and participate in additional camp-themed, immersive-style activities at no extra charge.

DFT’s The Grown Ups runs November 21, 22 and 23 in Carefree at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion (101 Easy Street). A limited number of tickets are available now at DFTheater.org for $25 each.

This show is rated PG-13 because of references related to alcohol consumption and mature topics and language. This version of The Grown-Ups is not the same as the film.

ABOUT THE SHOW
The Grown-Ups explores the traditions that change us, what it takes for us to change them, and how to change yourself when you’re hopelessly, tragically not prepared for what lies ahead.

The campers are all finally asleep, and the lake is getting quiet. Gather around a campfire, have a laugh; make a s’more; tell a scary story. Figure out what you’re going to have to do in the morning to keep camp fun and safe without letting the kids find out about...well, you’ve seen the news. I just got a push notification
