"J.M. Barrie's lovable character of Peter Pan has been the basis for what seems like more than a dozen films, TV movies, books, and Broadway shows. The recent musical Finding Neverland, which is based on the 2004 film of the same name that starred Johnny Depp as Scottish author Barrie, beautifully depicts how Barrie's story came to life by showing how another person's sense of imagination can be the spark one needs and the impetus of creation. The national tour of the musical is playing at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix through this weekend in a well-cast production of the charming and heartwarming show....While Finding Neverland isn't a perfect musical, it is charming and heartwarming and beautifully depicts how an adult can grow by seeing the sense of awe, joy and imagination in a young person's eyes. The current touring production has a talented cast who help smooth over the few rough elements in the script and the couple of just average songs, resulting in a fun and heartwarming show that is sure to charm even the most cynical of audience members."   -Gil Benbrook, Talkin' Broadway (click here to read the complete review)
