Auditions for THE RAINMAKER at Don Bluth Front Row Theatre announced for December 1
Sunday, December 1st | 3-7 pm
Synopsis
THE RAINMAKER is a Romantic Comedy. A classic story of faith, hope and dreams. At the time of a paralyzing drought in the West, we discover a girl whose father and two brothers are worried as much about her becoming an old maid as they are about their dying cattle. Lizzy is a plain girl indeed. The brothers try every possible scheme to marry her off, but without success. Nor is there any sign of relief from the dry heat. Suddenly there appears a man called Starbuck, who claims to be a rainmaker. He promises to bring rain for $100. The bet is on. While the men are busy with antics they've agreed to, the Rainmaker turns his magic on Lizzy, who has lost all hope. Love comes and so does the rain. Awards, Accolades, Adaptations:THE RAINMAKER was adapted into the popular 1956 film starring Burt Lancaster and Katharine Hepburn.
