In 1892, Lizzie Borden was the primary suspect for her father and stepmother’s brutal murder. Eventually acquitted, Lizzie became a tabloid sensation–and the most controversial figure of her time. LIZZIE imagines the story behind the legend with a cast of four women and a driving rock score, melding this infamous 19th century story with a modern-day twist.

The New York Times called the show "a gothic rock ritual with a 'riot girl' attitude ... an eerie hybrid of rock club and a turn-of-the-century New England parlor. . . Presented with wall-rattling glee...deliciously watchable..."

LIZZIE will be presented August 12th to August 27th in the Hardes Theatre at Phoenix Theatre.
