Arizona Broadway Theatre's 2018 Broadway Ball

From our friends at ABT:

Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT) will host the Fifth Annual Broadway Ball on Saturday, March 3, to raise funds for the nonprofit performing arts organization.

The formal event will be attended by arts-minded donors and supporters and has been generously sponsored by leading names in the West Valley philanthropic community including “Tony Award” sponsors Arizona Coyotes Foundation, Arrowhead Cadillac, and TC Schuttler. Other sponsors include Arrowhead Dermatology, the Honorable Cathy Carlat, Mayor, City of Peoria, and others.

“ABT is very grateful to all of the community partners who support us and sponsor this important event. It is more important than ever that we continue to raise awareness about why arts funding, especially at Arizona Broadway Theatre, is so crucial. Professional arts programs benefit artists, patrons, children, and everyone in the community,” said Kiel Klaphake, CEO and Executive Producer at Arizona Broadway Theatre. “We are extremely grateful to our community partners who stepped up this year to sponsor such an important event in support of the arts at ABT.”

Guests at the Ball will enjoy a cocktail hour in the theatre’s lobby followed by a three-course meal created by ABT Executive Chef Erik Angelo. More than 100 items will be offered in silent and live auction, the popular “Gift Card Frenzy,” a Raffle, and the Broadway Ball Wine Pull. The live auction will feature unique experiences, including an “Honorary Firefighter for a Day” experience, cooking classes in the ABT kitchen, a Mary Poppins birthday party for 12, and a week’s stay in Carlsbad, CA. Members of the all-volunteer Broadway Ball committee, led by co-chairs Sharon Jarnagin and Lisa Platt, will be on hand to welcome guests and oversee the elegant event.

Broadway Ball attendees will enjoy live entertainment representative of ABT’s Mainstage and children’s programming. One of the purposes of the evening is to bring attention to the impact ABT has had on residents and visitors to the Valley of the Sun for nearly 13 years as one of Arizona’s premiere performing arts destinations. The evening will conclude with dancing to the Big Band sounds of Len King and the AZ Swing Kings.

Tickets are available at the ABT Box Office. Call (623) 776-8400 or visit azbroadway.org.
