 WEEKDAY CLASSES

Improvisation      

Ages 12-17
First Class Monday, January 11, 2016
8 weeks + showcase
Mondays | 5:00pm - 6:30pm 
Fee $165.00
Experience is welcome, but not necessary.

It is for teens ages 12+ and teaches improvisational performance, developing characterization, story building and thinking-on-your-feet skills.

Musical Theatre


Ages 5 -12
First Class Tuesday, January 12, 2016
8 weeks + showcase
Tuesdays | 5:00pm - 6:20pm (Ages 5 - 8)
Tuesdays | 6:40pm - 8:00pm (Ages 9 - 12)
Fee $165.  
No experience necessary


Students study the elements of musical theatre including diction,
pitch, rhythm, tempo, and ensemble work as well as the technical
languages of music, acting and dance in this exciting class.
Students will showcase ensemble numbers from Broadway shows.

Acting Technique

Ages 7 - 11
First class Wednesday, January 13, 2016
8 weeks + showcase
Wednesdays | 5:00pm - 6:20pm
Fee  $165.00
No experience necessary. 

Students build their performing arts foundation by studying the
fundamentals of acting including voice, movement, characterization, and stage direction. 


Acting OUT
Ages 12 - 17
First class Wednesday, January 13, 2016
8 weeks + showcase
Wednesday  6:40pm - 8:00pm
Fee  $165.00
Experience is welcome, but not necessary.

Students will gain valuable performance training through creating
and performing scenes, Improvisations and monologues. They will
work with classical, contemporary, and original scripts. 

Triple Threat 

Winter Session: Singing for the stage- Solo/Ensemble Performance 

Ages 12 - 17
First class Thursday, January 14, 2016
8 weeks + showcase
Thursdays 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Fee  $165.00
Class size is limited.
Experience is welcome, but not necessary. 

Triple Threat is for the serious young performer. These classes will strengthen students' foundation in the big three performing arts disciplines: singing, acting and dancing.

Treasure Trunk Theatre

Students will be taught movement, characterization, and use their imaginations to create an original or adapted work to perform for family and friends the last day of class. 


Play Pretend

Ages 3 - 4

Saturdays 10:00am - 10:45am
Fee $115.00
No experience is necessary.

This class is specially designed for your little tyke! Students will learn how to use their body, voice and imagination to bring a familiar story to life on stage which will be performed for family and friends the last day of class. 
$115.00. No experience is necessary.

THE DRAMA OF LANGUAGE ARTS
Just for Homeschoolers

A fun and engaging program designed to integrate Language Arts studies with Visual and Performing Arts to enrich your child's education. This class is designed to function as the core of a homeschooler's English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum. Students will read books with the group, learn and practice exciting and impactful reading and writing techniques, including the Six Traits, and create theatrical scripts. Students will develop an understanding of production elements, including lighting, costumes, and set design, while learning the basics of acting, singing and dancing - all via experiential, meaningful and inspiring language arts work.
8-week Session (Winter Session starts Jan. 12)
Meets: Tuesday, January 12, 2016 | 9:30am
Thursday, March 3, 2016 | 11:30am
Located at Valley Youth Theatre (1st St. and Fillmore). 
Class size is limited so as to ensure personalized and individual attention.
Cost $495 for 8-week session

Preparing for an audition? Want personal training? Work one on one with VYT to improve your performance skills in voice, cold readings, monologue performance, characterization, and stage presence for your upcoming audition. 
Individual Audition Prep $45.00 /30 min or $70.00/ 1 hour session

Sessions can be scheduled on an as needed basis.


*Classes and workshops require a minimum number of students. 
VYT Internship Program

Valley Youth Theatre Internship Program is for dependable,
professional, and energetic teens (13+) to assist with performing
arts classes and camps. Positions available for weekday or
weekend classes per session and camps. Interns must commit to
the entire length of the session or camp. Hours can be counted as
community service or earn credit towards VYT classes. To apply,
