"Fountain Hills Theater has undertaken an ambitious and rewarding journey this season by presenting all three plays in Neil Simon's semi-autobiographical "Eugene Trilogy," culminating in a heartfelt production of Broadway Bound. At the center of all three plays has been Elias Matthews as Eugene Jerome. His nuanced, engaging performance across all three plays has made following Eugene's coming-of-age story a deeply worthwhile experience. With a strong supporting cast and excellent direction, this confident production is a fitting and poignant conclusion to the theatrical trilogy...Under Gil Berry's sensitive direction, the cast deliver strong performances across the board. Berry has directed all three plays and he's to be commended for the excellent work he's done.
