"Kate Hamill's Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson - Apt. 2B offers a fresh update of Arthur Conan Doyle's beloved characters, with a sharply modern and gender-flipped take on Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. The cast in Arizona Theatre Company's production is very good, fully committing to the play's fast-paced, eccentric tone. However, the play itself often feels as frantic and disjointed as its version of Holmes–fascinating, but also chaotic. While Hamill has crafted a bold and often humorous exploration of friendship and the focus on trust through a contemporary lens, her play also brims with ideas and manic energy that doesn't always give the audience time to fully connect to its characters or plot."   - Gil Benbrook, TalkinBroadway.com (click here to read the complete review)

"The four-person cast is remarkable from towering Kelen Coleman’s over-the-top Holmes who never tires while on her fervent escapade to prove various unusual and divergent crimes. Coleman energizes the production.  Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson – Apt. 2B is a refreshing new take on a classic who-dun-it that brings a bright new perspective to a familiar story. "    -Chris Curcio, Curtain Up Phoenix (click here to read the complete review)

" “Cheerfully desecrating the stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle” is how playwright Kate Hamill’s MS. HOLMES & MS. WATSON – APT. 2B bills itself—and Arizona Theatre Company’s latest production, directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, makes good on that promise with gusto. This isn’t Sherlock Holmes as revisionist mystery—it’s Holmes as irreverent sketch comedy. And yet, it has its limitations."   - Herbert Paine, Broadway World (click here to read the complete review)
