Rehearsals will begin on or shortly after August 19th.
Tech/shows will take place Dec. 7-22.

The show will run at both EVHS and Mesa Arts Center.

REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will take place mostly Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, though other days of the week may be possible. All actors will submit conflicts at auditions. We will work around as many conflicts as possible and create a schedule based around actor conflicts. However, conflicts will be a factor in casting.  

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Prepare two 16-bar cuts (about 30 seconds each) of any song that shows off your voice, preferably in the style of the show. Songs may be performed with recorded accompaniment or a cappella. Accompaniment tracks may be played from a phone or emailed to us before the audition. We will connect phones to our speaker system.

TUITION: $300*  ADDITIONAL SIBLINGS: $200
(Adult actors 18 and up do not pay tuition.)
*Payment plans and scholarships are available. The scholarship application must be submitted two weeks before auditions. Scholarship applications are due two weeks prior to auditions.

Auditions for SHREK THE MUSICAL, JR at Actor's Youth Theatre announced for August 2



We are excited to announce auditions for Shrek Jr.! Auditions will be held at Tuscany Theatre on Friday, August 2nd, 2024. Auditions spots will be from 5:30-7:30pm. Callbacks are by invitation only and will be held on Saturday August 3rd, 2024 starting at 5:30pm. Sign up for an audition spot at the link below!

Auditions for TUCK EVERLASTING at Limelight Performing Arts announced for August 3



Tuck Everlasting is a family-friendly Broadway musical based on Natalie Babbitt’s children’s novel of the same name. The story follows Winnie Foster, a teenage girl who longs for adventure but is stifled by her overbearing mother. One day, Winnie ventures into the woods near her home and meets the Tuck family, who are kind and welcoming. However, Winnie soon discovers that the Tucks have a powerful secret: they are immortal after drinking from a magical spring. Winnie must then decide whether to return to her life or stay with the Tucks on their endless journey.

CASTING AGES 10-21

AUDITIONS by video due August 2nd at 9pm

CALLBACKS: Sunday, August 4 at 2pm

CAST MEETING: Tuesday, August 6 at 5:30pm.

FIRST REHEARSAL: Wednesday, August 7 at 5pm.

PERFORMANCES AT STUDIO 3: September 20-29, 2024 

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: Will be Tuesdays 5-9pm, Thursdays 5-9pm, Saturdays (12-6), and Sundays (2-6pm *but let us know if you cannot do this day) beginning August 6. We may also add a few Friday rehearsals as needed since this is a very short rehearsal process.
Scheduling Note: Not everyone will be called for all rehearsals. Younger ensemble performers will be released earlier on weeknights. We can schedule around students who cannot make it at 4pm due to school, etc.

The participation fee for this show is $300 and includes a cast shirt and cast photo. Scholarships are available.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

SING – 30 seconds to a minute of any song from the show (preferred) or in the style of the show.

ACT – 30 seconds to a minute of a monologue that shows your acting abilities.
