Rebel Phoenix Theatre Collective is pleased to announce auditions for its upcoming production of Perfect Arrangement by Topher Payne and directed by Lex Barker, a sharp, stylish, and timely comedy set during the 1950s Lavender Scare.
Auditions will be held Saturday, February 7, from 5:00–10:00 PM, with callbacks on Sunday, February 8, from 4:00–7:00 PM (by invitation only).
Both auditions and callbacks will take place at Ballet Theatre of Phoenix, located at 6201 N. 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
Perfect Arrangement follows two married couples who share an apartment wall—and a carefully constructed secret—as they navigate love, survival, and identity while working for the U.S. State Department during a time of intense government persecution of LGBTQ+ individuals. With fast-paced dialogue, biting humor, and deep emotional stakes, the play balances comedy with political urgency.
Rebel Phoenix Theatre Collective is seeking incredible, thoughtful, and courageous artists ready to engage with the heart, humor, and complexity of this story. Detailed character breakdowns, rehearsal schedules, and performance information are available on the company’s website.
Rehearsals will begin mid-February. Performances are scheduled for April 3–5 and April 10–12, 2025, at Main Street Creative Arts Center in Mesa, Arizona.
