Audition Submissions due by October 20 for CONVERSATIONS WITH ANNE

"Conversations with Anne" immerses students in the powerful words of Anne Frank, bringing excerpts from her diary to life in an engaging and emotionally-charged performance. Students connect with Anne on a personal level through this intimate portrayal – hearing her thoughts, fears, and dreams. The performance culminates in a Q&A session, where students can ask questions and engage directly with the character to deepen their understanding of Anne’s experience and the historical events surrounding the Holocaust.

We are looking to create a company of actors and teaching artists local to the Phoenix area to join our organization and bring this performance to schools!

The Anne Frank Center USA traces its roots to the efforts of Anne Frank’s father, Otto Frank, who sought to preserve his daughter’s legacy. In the 1950s, Otto Frank worked tirelessly to raise funds in the U.S. to support the restoration of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. His determination led to the establishment of the Anne Frank Foundation in New York, which was dedicated to raising funds for this cause. Otto Frank’s efforts proved successful when the Anne Frank House opened its doors to the public in 1960.

While the Anne Frank Center USA has evolved over the years, its mission remains firmly rooted in Anne Frank’s enduring legacy – a message of hope and resilience to empower the next generation through educational programming and the arts.

This one-act solo show immerses student audiences in the powerful words of Anne Frank, bringing excerpts from her diary to life in an engaging and emotionally-charged performance.

This 25-minute solo show is an educational theater piece which culminates with an in-character Q&A session which lasts 20 - 35 minutes.
