A memorial service has been planned for Geri Silvi, Arizona Theatre Company's Box Office Operations Manager in Phoenix, who passed away on June 15th after a very long battle with cancer.
Geri’s family will host a memorial service for her on Monday, July 16 at 6pm at the Herberger Theater. All are welcome.
Arizona Theatre Company will honor Geri's legacy and celebrate her life in early September, at the beginning of the new season.
David Ira Goldstein, the former Artistic Director at Arizona Theatre Company had this to say about Geri, "Geri had just started at ATC when I was there as a guest director in the late 80’s, and over the last 29 years she has been the shining star. She knew every one of the thousands of subscribers at ATC and had a personal connection with most of them. Her motto was ‘We’ll make it work’ and she certainly did. Geri had a smile and a hug for everyone. She loved the theatre, absolutely adored it, and attended performances all over town. She was in awe of actors, designers and directors, valuing everyone’s contributions to the process. Best of all, in Geri’s eyes, was an absolutely full house - especially on opening night. Geri will be so missed by me and my wife, and by everyone who loves theatre in the Valley. “
Memorial Donations in remembrance of Geri Silvi may be made to Arizona Theatre Company.
