From our friends at Childsplay's YETi
We are thrilled to announce that Iliana Swartz (she/her) has been hired as YETi's new Program Manager. After three and a half amazing years, our dear leader Jason White is ready to really focus on their work as a director and theatre teacher. We are so grateful for the time Jason spent helping relaunch the company we took a 2 year hiatus during the pandemic.
Since relaunching the program has grown three fold! We cannot wait to jump into season 9 and we have so many plans and ideas. We have an incredible ensemble who of young artists who work so hard and surprise us with their creativity and innovation each week. Iliana brings amazing experience wearing all kinds of theatre hats and working with all kinds of young people.

Iliana Swartz has joined Childsplay as the YETi Program Manager. Most recently, Iliana held the role of Communications Assistant for Mean Girls (Detour Company Theatre). Iliana was seen onstage Kindertransport and Children of a Lesser God (Order Chaos Theatre Company). Iliana has previously stage managed at several theatres around the Valley; The Unsinkable Molly Brown, The Hit, The Gazebo, and A Christmas Carol (Hale Center Theatre), Beauty and the Beast Jr. (Desert Foothills Theater), and Die Fledermaus, and A Child's Christmas in Wales (GCU's Ethington Theatre). She also assistant stage managed Madame Butterfly, and Riders of the Purple Sage (Arizona Opera). She has directed two youth shows while teaching middle school, and two others while still in college. She has a Bachelor's in Theatre from Grand Canyon University and a Master's in Teaching from Antioch University Seattle.
We will be opening applications to join our ensemble on July 1st 2024. We are looking for teen theatre artists who are interested in being leaders and creating work that excites them.
