“Summer Beckman: Live in Concert” - Fountain Hills Theater - July 28 & 29, 2019


Fountain Hills Theater is excited to present award-winning vocalist and actress Summer Beckman, in her first solo concert. Summer Beckman: Live in Concert, is a variety show featuring musical theater, pop hits, and even a hint of classical vocal music. Enjoy a fun-filled night of singing, comedy, and special guests.

Summer Beckman: Live in Concert, is a lively, cabaret-style performance with something for everyone. Summer’s one-woman show features a variety of different musical styles and performances with special guest appearances from local talent.

Summer will sing a wide range of music, including everything from “Hollow” by Tori Kelly to “World Burn” from Mean Girls the Musical and even “Chacun le sait” from the opera, La fille du régiment. The extremely talented J.J.’s Band lead vocalist, Reigh Tuazon will be joining Summer to sing some of their most-requested duets,“The Prayer” by Andrea Bocelli and Katharine McPhee, and new duet “You Are the Reason” by Calum Scott and Leona Lewis. Additional songs will include, but are not limited to, the Kristin Chenoweth favorite, “The Girl In 14G,” “Vanilla Ice Cream” from the musical She Loves Me, “No One Else” from Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812, “Requiem” from Dear Evan Hansen, and “Poor Wand’ring One” from the Gilbert & Sullivan classic, Pirates of Penzance. Expect more songs, surprise guests, singing, dancing, musical comedy and much more! This two hour family-friendly show will entertain audiences both young and old.

Other award-winning vocalists such as Kale Burr, Grace Napoletano, Alex Gonzalez, and Erin Schumacher will have featured performances in Summer Beckman: Live in Concert.

Fountain Hills Theater and Streets of New York Restaurant in Fountain Hills, AZ, are partnering to host this production. Streets of New York will be offering ticket holders 20% off their purchase when they present a ticket to Summer Beckman: Live in Concert.

Eighteen year-old Summer Beckman has been performing as a vocalist and actress since the age of 8. Favorite roles include Roxie Hart in Chicago, Cinderella in Into the Woods, Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde, Little Sally in Urinetown, May in Junie B. In Jingle Bells Batman Smells, and Annie in Annie. Audiences are often surprised by Summer’s wide vocal range and ability to perform different styles of music at a young age.

Summer participated in the Arizona Young Artists' Competition at the Herberger Theater Center," in the Spring of 2017 where she was awarded the Arizona Broadway Theatre’s Best Overall Award, Audience’s Choice Winner, and Judge’s Choice Winner in the Musical Theater category. Summer has several ariZoni and National Youth Arts Award nominations and wins for her portrayal of characters such as Annie in Annie and May in Junie B. in Jingle Bells Batman Smells. Summer won the 2019 National Youth Arts Senior Showcase Vocal Competition and was the 2nd place winner in the 2018 National Hal Leonard Vocal Competition.

“Fountain Hills Theater has always been a second home to me,” said Summer, “I grew up at this theater and have learned so many valuable skills from the incredibly talented staff like Ross Collins, Peter Hill, Jay Melberg Noel Irick, and of course Val Stasik. I am so excited to return to the FHT stage once again”.
