Ghostligth Theatre's Summer 2019 Acting Classes


SUMMER ACTING CLASSES

Session 1 - Saturday June 8th - Character Development - Actors will learn how to best analyze characters to create a more natural and believable performance. This will include physical movements, dialect, emotional shifts, interactions, character objectives and relationships.

Session 2 - Saturday June 15th - Monologues and auditions - This workshop will focus on the audition process from selecting and preparing a monologue to audition etiquette and how to leave a memorable impression. Actors will experience a mock audition as well as receive monologues they can use for the future. Instruction will be tailored for both the experienced as well as novice actor.

Session 3 - Saturday June 22nd - Staged Reading of short plays - Actors will have short audition process, then be cast in roles of various short plays. They will experience a crash course in the rehearsal process and will perform for an audience of family and friends (no memorization necessary) during the last part of the workshop.

Session 4 - Saturday June 29th - Create a play in a day - Actors write then star in a short show of their own. Students will learn the tricks to writing a one scene play then will audition and rehearse the show they’ve collaboratively written, with a short performance at the end.

Times- 9am-4pm

Ages 7-18

Cost is $39 a class or $140 is you sign up for all 4 classes (A 10% discount! You save $16)
