Hale Centre Theatre will hold auditions on Saturday, January 26th for The Man with the Pointed Toes, playing April 30, 2019 – June 18, 2019. The show is produced by David and Corrin Dietlein and directed by David Dietlein. Performances are Monday and Tuesday nights, with Tuesday matinees at 3 pm. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
Payment
Actor Pay Scale Beginning Jan 1, 2019
Tom Coterel and Florence Rains-Leads: $75 per performance / $150-$225 a week*
All other roles: $50 per performance / $100-$150 a week*
Actors in lead roles will receive an estimated payment of $1050.00 All other adult actors will receive an estimated payment of $700.00 for the run of the show. Actors will receive free meals between matinee and evening performances and six complimentary tickets.
*Estimated payment may differ if performances are added or removed.
SYNOPSIS
The Man With the Pointed Toes is without a doubt one of the funniest and most requested comedies we’ve ever produced. Take a bunch of wild, uncouth cowboys, pair them up with a beautiful and proper schoolteacher hired to civilize them, and you’ve got a mess on your hands! This knee-slapping comedy is loaded with fun and romance!

● The audition will consist of side readings. Sides will be provided on Casting Manager. Please prepare one side to read.

Call backs for The Man With the Pointed Toes will be held Saturday, February 2nd at 10:00 AM with the first read through scheduled for Monday, March 11th at 7:00 PM.

TOM COTEREL: (LEAD; Male; 28-35) An oil-rich Texan. Strong, handsome, unsophisticated but innately intelligent.
FLORENCE RAINS: (LEAD; Female; 24-32) A highly educated finishing school teacher. Hired by Tom as a tutor. Very pretty, but plain.
PAMELA WRIGHT: (Supporting; Female; 24-34) A New York gold digger. Sexy, voluptuous, sophisticated.
LINK HANSON: (Supporting; Male; 35-45) Uneducated, but worldly-wise. A lean, raw-boned cowboy. Tom’s foreman.
LEM REED: (Supporting; Male; 20-30) A cowboy. Shy pleasant.
JOSE GONZALES: (Supporting; Male; 20-30) The cook at Tom’s ranch. Grimy, sloppy, but very observant.
RANDALL WRIGHT: (Supporting; Male; 45-55) Sophisticated New York businessman. Good looking, debonair.
