As part of our continuing mission of bringing classical theatre to the community through education, Southwest Shakespeare Company is taking one of the Bard’s most enduring tragedies, Julius Caesar , right out from the headlines and into the schools. This timeless cautionary tale of political intrigue and violent societal upheaval is, like its author, “not of an age but for all time.” A highly condensed, fast-paced, roller-coaster through Rome’s crumbling Democracy, Julius Caesar warns us all about what can happen to a people, when their nation falls into the wrong hands.
