CHARACTER BREAKDOWN

DORA : (50-65) The maid. Good natured and a comic part.

MRS. EDITH WILKINS : (35-50) The mother. A kind, generous, sentimental woman, suspiciously like the backbone of the country.

MIRIAM WILKINS : (14-17) Ruth’s little sister. She is energetic, adorable, and precocious. A high
school senior, one year ahead of the average student as she is barley sixteen. Her nature is such that
she is always, in one way or another, a year ahead of the average anything.

JUDGE HARRY WILKINS : (35-50) The father. He is a fit companion for his nice wife. He is a
municipal judge. Slightly bossy and blustery but has a heart of gold.

RUTH WILKINS : (18-24) The big sister. Very beautiful, and charming, and intelligent too. A
romantic.

LT. WILLIAM SEAWRIGHT : (20-26) The soldier. A bit dreamy-eyed, impulsive, the nicest fellow,
and is an Air Corps lieutenant. A true romantic.

ALBERT KUMMER : (28-35) Ruth’s fiance who is a bit stiff and practical. A few pounds heavier than prescribed on the insurance table, and, to get to the point, not deserving of Ruth.

MARTHA SEAWRIGHT : (20-30) Eccentric and earnest sister of William. She is pretty and kind.

SGT. CHUCK VINCENT : (20-26) Straight shooter and William’s best friend. He helps William in his pursuit to woo Ruth.
