Shakespeare Intensive producing A Midsummer Night's Dream!

June 4-23
Shakespeare in Performance Intensive. Focus will be given on text work and analysis, voice and diction, rhetoric, movement, stage combat and rehearsal techniques. The class will culminate in a full performance of a 90 minute Shakespeare play. Juniors and seniors in high school, college-level students and anyone from the community are welcome to come play! Performances will be June 22nd and 23rd at 7:30 in the PAC.

Additional 5 shop hours will be required of all that register. Additional tech rehearsal will be Friday, June 22nd, during the day in preparation of the opening performance.

And introducing our new course:

TYA (Theatre for Youth Audiences) in Performance! 

May 14-31!  This is a three week intensive focusing on Theatre for Young Audiences. Focus on physical work, concepts, scripts, and performance styles that are geared towards younger audiences. Nationally recognized theatre companies such as Missoula Children’s Theatre, the Children’s Theatre Company of Minneapolis, Seattle Children’s Theatre, and the Valley’s own Childsplay all employ professional actors each season and produce high quality work. Prepare yourself for future employment. A free public performance of short plays for youth and families will be presented Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1. Additional tech/dress hours on May 31 required.
