Performances: October 19th-21st, 26th-28th
Auditions, rehearsals*, and performances will take place at The Tuscany Theatre. (861 N Higley Rd, suite 105, Gilbert - NE corner of Higley and Guadalupe near Tia Rosa's)
Auditions will run in 45 minute time slots. Actors are highly encouraged to bring a dramatic monologue 1-2 minutes in length. Sides will be provided for cold readings during the audition.
You need to arrive 15 minutes before your audition to check in.
A hard copy headshot is required, and paper resume is highly encouraged. These items can also be posted on Casting Manager, in addition to being brought to the audition.
The rehearsal/performance schedule is available below, as well as on our website. Please look over the rehearsal schedule carefully and note any and all conflicts. These are taken into consideration when casting. The breakout schedule is made with actors conflicts in mind. You MAY NOT add conflicts after casting.
Audition results are typically posted on the website by 9:00pm the Sunday after auditions, and an email will be sent to those who are cast.
If you are not cast, this does not mean that you did not have a good audition! Many considerations go into the casting of a show and sometimes there just isn’t a good place to put someone for that show. We do many shows each year, and we encourage you to come back!
*Some rehearsals will be held at TBD offsite locations.
Synopsis
A retelling of some of Edgar Allen Poe’s darkest works, INSANITY tells the stories of four seemingly normal, intelligent people…who become murderers. See their individual journeys as they slip into insanity and murderous rage. You’ll see how a black cat, an annoying friend, a portrait, and an eye can lead them to murder. Insanity includes the following stories of Edgar Allan Poe: -The Tell-Tale Heart -The Black Cat -The Cask of Amontillado -The Fall of the House of Usher
