THE FANTASTICKS is the longest-running musical in the world—a natural choice for the longest-running Community Theatre in Arizona!—and with good reason. At the heart of its breathtaking poetry and subtle theatrical sophistication is a purity and simplicity that transcends cultural barriers. The result is a timeless fable of love that manages to be nostalgic and universal at the same time.

Cast of Characters:
El Gallo – (25-35)-(Bass/Baritone) The Narrator/The Bandit
Luisa – (16-23)-(Soprano) The Girl
Matt – (20-27)-(Tenor) The Boy
Hucklebee – (40-60)-(Baritone) The Boys Father
Bellomy – (40-60)-(Baritone) The Girls Father

FOR THE ABOVE 5 roles please prepare and bring with you 16-32 bars from two contrasting songs along the style of the show.

Henry – (50-70)-(non singing role) The Old Actor
Mortimer – (40-60) The man who dies, an actor pretending to be an American Indian.

FOR THE ABOVE 2 roles please prepare a 1 minute comic monologue and also be prepared to do a short improv.

The Mute-(18-40) this character never speaks and at times plays the wall. For this character prepare a short story in mime.

For all roles there will also be readings from the script.
